Recovery at Commerce Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) submitted the second quarterly status report on the Broadband Technology and Opportunities Program (BTOP) to Congress on August, 18, 2009.

BTOP was established under the Recovery Act and is a $4.7 billion grant program designed to create jobs and stimulate economic growth through an increase in broadband penetration and adoption in unserved and underserved areas of the United States. (Report)
